“Had years of severe back pain, went to Dr. Hicks and after a full review had a spinal fusion. Dr. Hick did a great spinal fusion and except for surgery pain my back pain was eliminated completely. The service, personal, and Physician at BRBJ are great and would recommend to everyone.”

“During first encounter with Dr. Hicks he recommended conservative treatment with the expectation that the vertebrae would fuse within 2 years and relieve nerve compression. An epidural injection and several RFA's did not adequately relieve the pain that limited my strenuous activity and contributed to daily fatigue. In follow-up he assessed new X-rays and an MRI. Because the abnormality was limited to L4 - 5, Dr. Hicks recommended either watchful waiting or the option of a brief surgical procedure to remove bone spurs and insert a titanium spacer between the vertebrae. With the expectation of recovering energy and flexibility, I chose surgery. Except for tenderness at the operative site, there was immediate relief from the chronically recurrent pain associated with the affected nerve. I would recommend Dr. Hicks without reservation!”
