On my follow up appointment he ordered an MRI, followed by a Ct scan. After analyzing the results, we decided that a total shoulder replacement was needed. They got me in right away. His staff is very caring just like him. 4 weeks post op and I am ready for rehab. I would recommend him to anyone and have to many people! Thank you!”

Dr. Corcaran not only spent time explaining my knee issue, he even drew me a detailed picture that was very helpful with understanding why I may need surgery. A permanent fix instead of “I failed” temporary fix with Ginger tablets, Aspercreme, and Green Rubbing Alcohol. Therefore, I’m going to take Dr. Corcaran's advice and “Bear Down” so I can be ready for the Chicago Bears Super Bowl next year, also golf and bowling.”

“Left Total Knee Replacement June 21st. Dr. Corcoran, I will start out by saying I put this procedure off for more than five years. I was a little nervous. However my wife Kathy had both knees done the two pervious years and had a positive experience. So my turn, after falling in the yard when knee locked up. I made the call. Got in to see Dr. Corcoran and set date. This procedure was at Presences Saint Mary's in Kankakee, IL. The hospital to say the least they rocked. After return to room day of surgery, therapy had me up walking within hours, and I never stopped. The severe pain was gone. Yes it hurt a little but the pain was gone. Out patient therapy was even better. Thank You, Dr. Corcoran and great staff for a perfect new knee and the smooth experience.”

“Dr. Corcoran reconstructed my AC joint. It was a bad injury, and he did a great job in the reconstruction. I appreciate the time he has taken each visit to explain things to my satisfaction. At the time of the surgery, the nature of the injury prevented any further repair (actually revision surgery) to the rotator cuff. We talked about this multiple times at all of my follow-up visits. I know he thought long and hard about it, but he told me he could not guarantee any improvement in strength or ROM if he went back in and operated on the rotator cuff. I appreciated his honesty about this--especially because I was not anxious at all to undergo this surgery.
Four different doctors at OAK have treated me over a ten year period: Drs. Corcoran, Smit, Puri, and Ellis. Every one of them provided great service. I would recommend OAK to any individual needing orthopedic care.”
